If you decide to coordinate a plot so overarching and complex that it not only sweeps up all your castmates but also most of the other characters in the game, it isn't very nice to drop as soon as your character starts to taste some consequences.
Yes she was clever, yes she was educated, yes she knew what she was doing. She was good at it, and it's always been fun to watch. But there are some very observant characters in the game, and they noticed what she was doing. You knew they were going to notice. It came up more than once in OOC chat, and you agreed.
Waiting until everyone is taking their places and setting things into motion to bring the plot to its intended climactic conclusion to announce you've "lost the muse," don't want to do this anymore, and then dropping her--all within five minutes of another character officially calling yours out? That's what's called a dick move.
My character wasn't even a major player in the plot and she probably wouldn't have gotten to do much in the climax, but seeing what you did to those characters who did play the major roles and have been working on this plot for months pisses me off.
